Term 2 is going to be packed full of exciting learning experiences! Here are some examples of what we have been doing already this week and what is coming up.

Welcome back from your holiday! Great to see this summer weather is still holding out. 

Theme - 'How the World Works'

This week we have started science experiments that involve students exploring different types of forces. We will begin to unpack Newton's Laws in more depth over the next few weeks. Check out our photos to see what we have been learning so far.

Literacy

Over the next few weeks in reading we will be focusing on activating our prior knowledge and identifying technical vocabulary that relates to our theme. 

Students will be identifying the features of Explanations and writing their own description of how different things work. 

Camp Meeting

Wednesday 25th May at 6:30pm in the hall

This is a very important meeting to inform you about camp. We need at least one member from each family to attend please.

Sport

Next week is the Interschool Swimming Championships and many students from our studio are representing our school at this event.

We are currently training everyday for our school Cross Country in week 3. Please remind your children to wear suitable running shoes and clothing.
