Year 1 + 2: Week 3
Read on to find out what has been happening in LS2 + LS3.
Gymnastics
We are having 4 weeks of gymnastics instruction with specialist teachers and we are doing a follow-up lesson as well. The children are loving the chance to try new equipment such as the balance beam and mint tramps as well as brush up on skills such as doing forward rolls safely. It follows on very nicely from all the fantastic PMP they did in Year 1.
Concept
This term we have an Arts focus. We are looking at the concept that 'art allows an expression of culture and environment'. If you are an artist or know an artist who would like to share their knowledge or experience with us, we would love to have you talk to small groups within our studios. Thank you to those who have offered, we will be in touch.
Spelling Notebooks
We ask that you support your child to make sure that their spelling notebook is inside their bookbag each week. It makes it tricky to keep our programmes going if they are not brought back into school. If necessary, you may buy new books at the school office.
Te Uru Gallery Trip
Thank you to the parents who volunteered to help on the trip to Te Uru. Our numbers are limited because of space within the gallery classroom. You will be contacted directly by one of the teachers if you are one of the helpers. We are sorry that this time we are unable to take more, and do thank you for your ongoing support.
100 day Party in LS3
We loved seeing the 100 item collections and had a delicious hot chip lunch. Your children shared beautifully and had fabulous manners! It's always a lovely highlight for Term 3.
Fridge List
Remember to check your Fridge List for upcoming events at school. There are lots of events happening within our school that you don't want to miss out on!
