Water Topic

We have been talking about different states of matter; solids, liquids and gases and the Water Cycle. The children are learning that water is special because it can change into all of these states. You might hear your child talking about evaporation or condensation...   

Cross Country + Te Ao Kori

This term our PE focus is all about cross country and Te Ao Kori. We have begun running every day and our children have been collecting sticks for each lap of the field they complete. Each day they try and beat their stick haul from the day before! 

Sport Auckland are running Māori Games which will begin in Week 5. We are very lucky to have these experts supporting our learning (and teaching the teachers too!)

Our Westmere Cross Country is Monday 22 May.  Thanks for the offers of help to assist with walking to the cross country.  We welcome everyone to meet us at school at 9am.

Discovery

Our Discovery day is Friday after morning tea. If you have expertise or an interest in a certain area you are most welcome to come and join us during this time.

We would love donations of:

- small boxes for box construction

- boxes of tissues for winter snuffles

Book Bags/ Notebooks/Library Books

Book bags are needed at school every day.  We are unable to send books home without a book bag. Library books are needed on Mondays and spelling/home learning notebooks are needed on Friday.
