Week 7 newsletter from Studio 2...

Hello everyone

Week 7 already and Easter is getting closer, as is the cooler weather.

If you and your family are taking the chance to have a longer break over Easter, please let the office know by email as this saves Karleen the job of checking when children are away.

Junior Choir

It was great seeing so many of LS2 try Junior Choir this week. It is on Tuesdays at 1pm and the choir learn a new song and when ready, get the opportunity to sing at assembly.

Stepping Out

LS2 have just completed the Stepping Out programme with Constable Teina. There is an emphasis on the children now being the ‘boss’ and telling their parents when it is safe to cross. This means they are practising this skill but still very much in a safe situation. It is also a skill that can be practised in a shopping mall or supermarket carparks.

Afternoon Tea

A big thank you to Sarah McNaughton who is organising an afternoon tea for Thursday 31 March. This is a lovely way for parents to meet which really helps the social networking of the children (arranging playdates)!

Spelling

A wee reminder spelling notebooks need to come back on Friday and the Year Twos in LS2 visit the library on Friday and it is great when they have their library book because they love getting a new one.

School Assembly

Whole School Assembly is this Friday March 18th at 9.15. Parents are very welcome to attend.

Please do not hesitate to see any of us with queries, concerns or suggestions.

Warm regards,

Nadine, Sue, Vanessa, Kathy
