Flippaball at West Wave

Westmere School|Te Rehu —

Flippa Ball is a fun way for children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 to gain water confidence, learn aquatic skills, teamwork and ball skills in a controlled environment... the game is played in shallow water.

Waitakere Water Polo Club is starting a Flippa Ball League in West Auckland and  would like to invite Westmere School students to their upcoming free 'Have a Go' days:

Dates: November 11, 18, 25 and December 2

Times: 10.00am - 1.00pm

Place: West Wave Aquatic Centre

Cost: Free

Children who can swim confidently can progress to the Mini Polo competition played in deeper water. Here is a link if you would like to learn a little more about the game - https://youtu.be/y6_D2DAtri4

For the 'Have a Go' days, teams (7 players) or individuals are welcome. Individuals will be placed in teams on the day.

The 'Have a Go' Days are free but we do require everyone to pre-register at www.waitakwaterpolo.co.nz/flippa-ball

The coaches will take players through some of the basic skills, rules, drills and then have some games for the children to give Flippa Ball a try.

It is Waitakere Water Polo Club's intention to have a full League up and running from Term 1 in 2019. Please feel free to give them a call or email if you have any queries at all:
