The Whangaparāoa netball committee are looking for new members to join the committee this year.
In particular, we’re seeking Yr 2,3 or 4 parents/caregivers who are committed to taking over the committee in 2023 and beyond.
Currently the committee is made up of 3 mums. One of us does not have children left at Whangaparāoa school but has stayed on due to lack of finding a replacement. The other 2 members are in their last years of their school involvement as their kids are off to College.
Netball at Whangaparāoa school is run entirely by the parent community, unfortunately if people don’t come forward now, by 2023 the committee will fold and netball won’t be an option.
If you are a Yr 2,3 or 4 parent/caregiver, love netball and are keen to be involved and would like to find out more about becoming the new:
- Chairperson
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Netball/Gear bag coordinator

Ultimately each role is as good as you make it, if you’re organised, don’t need micromanaging, are confident and a confident decision maker and prepared to commit some time then we need you!
*The plan for this year is to have our ‘newbies’ shadow us old members so they’re in a position to take over the reins in 2023.
