Tomorrow Children wanted to build rat traps at lunchtime - Need to be registered by parents
Over the last few weeks Debbie Thompson and Andrea Dick from Pest Free Hibiscus Coast have been working with the student Enviro group to build and install rat traps to protect the native wildlife at Whangapāraoa School.
The kids have really enjoyed doing this and have had success with their traps already! Given the significant interest other students showed in the activity, Pest Free Hibiscus Coast is going to run a trap box building session at Lunchtime Friday 2 June. Students who pre-register can build and take home a trap for their garden. There will be no cost for this activity, but students (or their parents) will need to pre- register HERE and be willing to record what they catch online.
