This week: L3 Mini Gala and Mufti day for our students, Fantastic Fridays, Pool minder, school donations

L3 Mini Gala  and Mufti day

Our year 5 / 6 children in L3 had been working hard for gala in term 1. When our main PFA gala was cancelled L3 thought they would still like to do something to support the PFA and school. They have organised a mini gala tomorrow for the children at school. They have lots of things to sell, and everyone is looking forward to it. This will be our first event with the school after lockdown. To add to the spirit of this occasion, we will have a mufti day for the students. There will be no charge for the mufti.

This will be a fun day.

Thanks for your support.

From 12 - 3pm, every Friday half our staff will be released onsite to work with each other and plan for their students needs. Each class has a buddy class that they will work with and they will be looked after by one of the teachers and a learning assistant in this timeframe. The programme will look different across the school according to the learning abilities and passions of the students. There will be consolidation of curriculum alongside challenges, fun and community time.

The following Friday the other teacher steps in with the learning assistant to support the students.

SCHOOL DONATIONS

We fully realise that these are tough times for many businesses and families financially. As a school we also have been hit hard by Covid 19 with a huge loss of income from international students and fundraising. If as a family you are in a position to help us out with any sort of financial contribution, that would be much appreciated.

Donations can be paid by Internet Banking (A/c number 12-3084-0091475-00, please remember to add your child's name, room number and what you are paying for) and Cash/Eftpos payments at the school office. Did you know that you can get a Tax Credit on School Donations? Here is the IR526 form for claims and more information.

POOL MINDER

We are just wondering if there is a parent or community person who would like to take up the task of checking our pool for the right chemicals twice a day in Summer. There would be training to support this position. Please let Alex or Kevin know if you are interested.
