A walking school bus is a group of children walking to school together with an adult ‘driver’.

If you live further out you can drop your kids off with a walking school bus so that they get a bit of a walk before school.

The benefits of a walking school bus include it’s a safe and healthy way to get to school; children learn and practice road safety, you can get to know others in the community, exercise for parent helpers - a great way to start your morning walk - drop the kids at school and carry on, and cutting down on pollution with less car trips.

It’s great for the kids, great for the community, great for the environment!
