Our community continues to express deep appreciation for the welcoming, inclusive culture of our kura, where whanaungatanga and a strong sense of belonging are clearly felt. Families value the dedication of our staff, the visibility and leadership of our Principal, and the wide range of enrichment opportunities offered—from Garden to Table to Kapa Haka, sports, and the arts. The school’s focus on student wellbeing, outdoor play, and values-based learning (including the ORCA values and tuakana-teina relationships) is celebrated, along with our commitment to diversity, creativity, and academic balance. The vibrant outdoor spaces and well-resourced learning environments round out what whānau feel makes our school such a special place to be.

Our ākonga love being part of a school that is fun, inclusive, and full of exciting opportunities. From playgrounds, bike tracks, and trampolines to Garden to Table, Performing Arts, STEM, and lunchtime clubs, students appreciate the variety of hands-on learning and creative experiences available. Special events like the Gala, Colour Fun Run, and school camps are highlights that create unforgettable memories. They speak highly of our kind and caring teachers who make learning enjoyable and know them by name. Students also value having leadership roles and responsibilities, feeling empowered to contribute to their school community. With strong ORCA values, “You be you” days, and a culture of respect and belonging, students feel safe, supported, and proud to be part of our kura.
