Letter of thanks

Dear Whangaparaoa School Community

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to every member of our school community through the recent COVID 19 lockdown.
To the teachers and staff who stepped up to the challenge of teaching online while simultaneously attending to their own families needs, we thank you.

To the leadership team who showed a huge amount of thought and effort into getting the school open again in both Level 3 with the bubble classes, and then the whole school operational under Level 2, we thank you.   

We thank you all, and appreciate more than ever what our school does for our children each and every day. It has been a truly remarkable time, and you have surpassed all expectations and done an amazing job.   

To all of our school parents, we thank you. Between juggling jobs and managing family needs in what has been a stressful and sometimes overwhelming period, you supported your children in their learning and wellbeing, and we thank you.

It has been wonderful to see our families pull together and help the school by following our new guidelines and supporting your children through these changing and challenging circumstances.
We thank you all for your efforts, patience, and kindness throughout the last few months. We really do have a special community here and look forward to seeing you all again soon as we continue to move towards ‘normal’.
