At Whangaparaoa Primary School we have recently built a STEAM room (science technology engineering arts and mathematics).

Plenty of classes have tried out the STEAM room. It has a range of activities that include STEAM challenges, building materials, arts, crafts and much, much more.

We interviewed some students about how they felt about the new room. Here is what they said.

Hunter said, “I feel good about the STEAM room because I helped build it. I was very excited to walk inside it for the first time when it was finished. My favourite thing in the STEAM room is the lego.”

Lola said, “When I walked into the new room I was shocked because it looked so cool. I really like the marble run.”
