4 Ongoing activities: Top Secret Scavenger Hunt, I Spy Popsicles, Make I Spy Sticks & Random Acts of Kindness

Tuesday 1st Oct, 10:30am to 11:30am: Top Secret Spy School (for ages 9+), learn new techniques to disguise your secret messages with a decoder key. Use the decoder key to crack the secret code. Write your secret message with invisible ink and get your friends to reveal the hidden message.

Wednesday 2nd October, 10:30am to 11:30am, Marvellous Magic – Top secret Magic Tricks: Dress up as a magician and present your favourite magic tricks that you enjoy showing friends and family. This is your chance to shine! For those who do not know any tricks, this is an opportunity to learn from others. Prize for the most entertaining trick! Start practising now!

Thursday 3rd October, 10:30am to 11:30am, Hooked on Crochet: Unravelled the secret code of crotchet (for ages 9+). How to crochet for absolute beginners with Sharon and friends. Bring your own hook and wool. Keen young knitters (9+ years) are free to join us as well.

Friday 4th October, 2pm to 4pm, Move Magic: Pete’s Dragon, rated PG, 103 mins.

Tuesday 8th October, 10:30am to 11:30am, SCRATCH for ages 8+. BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). Before the workshop please download the free app ScratchJr. You will programme interactive stories using the Scratch app – a visual coding language designed for kids.

Wednesday 9th October, 10:30am to 11:30am, Delightful Diwali: The Festival of Lights. Decorate and take home a Thali plate to serve treats on. Listen to a story from India. Learn how to wrap a sari.

Thursday 10th October, 10:30am to 11:30am, Shaving Foam Marbling: all will be revealed! This is a RSVP event only. Create beautiful marbelled prints on paper using shaving foam and food colouring. Your amazing print can be framed or made into a book cover. Your fresh print may take a few hours to dry.

Thursday October, 2pm onwards, Celebrate Diwali: Giant Mandala. Work together to colour in a lovely giant mandala design to decorate our library. Bring your pencil case and spend the afternoon with us bringing our mandala design to life.

Friday 11th October, 2pm to 4pm: Movie Magic – The BFG, rated PG, 118mins.
