On Sunday 20 June, 3 teams of swimmers represented or school at the Rotary Swimarathon.

Our teams were The Whangaparaoa School Orcas; Quinn O’Mara, Coby Watt, Sam Thompson , Ethan O’Mara , Noah Thompson and Daniel Tayler. They completed a whopping 142 laps as a team and raised $395.00 for the cause.'

The Whangaparaoa School Whales; Rose Elliott, Indy Brown, Mia Edgington, Maddison Bogust and Ashlie Pearce completed 93 laps as a team and raised $427.10 for the cause (with Rose pulling in $146, and Indy pulling in $141)

Whangaparaoa School - Brightside; Rose Elliott, Pilar Prieto Pereira, Elisabeta Bayer, Cooper Chubb, Kobee Foster, Kevin Cronin, completing 94 laps as a team and raising $190.00 for the cause.

Organiser Julie Elliot shared how super proud she was of all the students who took part in this event, seeing their determination to keep going for the full 45mins of swimming, with happy smiles and no complaints.
