Recently, our schools' Animal Club has been taking care of the librarians' pet mice.

Recently, our schools' Animal Club has been taking care of the librarians' pet mice. Each day, different people take turns at feeding the mice, playing with the mice, and sometimes cleaning out the cage. The Animal Club doesn’t just take care of animals, they also raise money for companies that help animals in need. Last term, they raised money for the SPCA and also have plans to donate to the local cat shelter sometime soon.

We interviewed the organiser of the Animal Club, Mrs. Le Lievre, and asked her what inspired her to start it. “Last year, I had a passion Friday group with Mrs. Howse, it was for younger kids and we didn’t get to do too many sessions. I decided to make another animal-related group, except this time, for year 5 and 6."  That's how Animal Club ended up forming.  We also got the time to interview one of the kids that go to Animal Club, Evie, we asked her what her favorite thing about Animal Club was? “ My favorite thing about Animal Club is taking care of the animals, I think it’s fun.  We also asked her what she thought they could now be doing at Animal Club ? “ I think what we are doing is great. "
