Last year our community proudly gathered at the ANZAC Day service - RSA in the term holidays. 

It was a wonderful time where , together, we paid our respects to those that served for us and also to those that currently serve . 

This year unfortunately the RSA are not able to hold their usual service. Whangaparāoa School would like to rise to the challenge and look for ways to show we value the sacrifices that people made, and continue to make.

Many families commented that they would love to have come along to show their respects but other commitments had made that impossible for them.

So this year, as a special moment in the year, we would like to mark this day by holding our own in- school mini ANZAC assembly service , held under our new canopy outdoors. We anticipate this will take place on the morning of Friday 13th May, 2022 at 11am - so pencil that date in to your diary.

We would love to hear from any veterans or current service personnel from our community that would like to join with us on this special morning. Our history is important to us, and we value your input into this event.
