Family First

Kevin Cronin —

One of the things we prioritise as a staff is the concept of family first.

This means if there was ever a call from family for help from a staff member, we would encourage our staff to go home quickly, and as a staff, we would help out onsite.

Likewise when our teachers go home, we expect them to put family first. We need them to rest, have other interests and have time with their family.

In terms of school work, we expect our teachers to prepare well for the next day, and in relation to emails, we would expect our teachers to respond to parents within a 48 hour period during the week. Society today tends to expect a rapid response, which we understand. We also want our teachers to have a life outside the workplace, and come to school fresh each day, ready to teach and learn with children.

It is important we have high expectations for our staff, and just as important, is our responsibility to look after our staff so they have the energy and thinking time to deliver at the highest levels.
