Last week our year 6 Quest students were invited to Whangaparāoa College to hear about extension programmes and opportunities for those who excel in different areas.

 It was great to hear from some of our past learners. Year 7 learners talked about the options they were invited to take part in - philosophy, maths extension, english extension, art extension. Some Year 10 learners talked about opportunities for subject or year level acceleration (moving ahead a year or more). Those who talked to the group are all taking year 12 subjects next year. Students then worked together on a variety of fun and challenging activities - some philosophy, and building, writing, thinking and creative challenges. Thanks to Mrs Bonita Menzes (GATE coordinator and HOD physics), Mr Phil Jones (English teacher), and the Year 10 learners for leading this fantastic day.
