Sensory garden update 2020

Angela Howse —

The school term is off to a great start and when you walk about the Sensory Garden area you will notice new elements that are being hung up

These elements were made last year by the Sensory Garden Group. The children planned, collected and then made these amazing elements. They took great pride and joy in the process. I would like to extend a huge thank you again to them for their effort. Please talk to your children about being gentle with the elements in the garden. They are fragile and not very robust. Remind them that it is not a playground, as we have more than enough areas for rough and tumble play, but an area where they can touch and feel, listen, smell and look. I also would like to thank Ms S and the Super Sensory Caretakers in L3 - Owain, Renee, Riley and Tayla. They have taken on the responsibility of watering the planter boxes, setting up and taking down the elements daily. Great job, Team!
