What a fantastic week this has been, we have been celebrating Te Wiki O Te Reo Māori, Year 3's having fun with education outside the classroom, Year 4's at Camp Bentzon, Year 5 and 6's dancing and filming for their production....
GRITTY
Last week I had the privilege of attending Grit Camp with 28 Year 6 students and eight adults. The idea behind the camp was appreciation and challenge in the outdoors. We were fortunate to have a great week of weather and our students rose to every challenge and worked hard as a supportive team to get through the week. As adults, we were all really proud of the students. There were lots of times where they had to overcome some sort of adversity, and they just did it ! Well done to our students, and a big thank you to our parents and staff who attended. This was a beautiful part of NZ to enjoy together for a week.
THANKS
There is always so much to be grateful for, and this week I come back to our families who are doing so well under the constraints of level 2.5. Thank you everyone for your care of the children, and your support as a community. We are indeed lucky to be living in the mighty Whangaparaoa!
