TERM START - Welcome

Twice a year we report to the Board of Trustees on our achievement data in literacy and numeracy with supporting notes.

The Board of Trustees is actively seeking new members and is now taking applications.

In the holidays our Caretaker, in tandem with staff from Kevin Knowles Homes, made a bouldering wall for our children.

You may notice some exciting changes when you next log in to your Hero app. We have recently upgraded to Hero Premier- adding extra functionality to our app including the school calendar, term dates, absence notifications, social media links, a current newsletter link and integrated permission slips.

After 48 years in teaching and 32 years at Whangaparaoa School, our very well respected deputy principal Warren Steel will be resigning from his position at the end of this year.

TOMORROW is a mufti day. Children can dress up in the colours of a country, or come dressed in a sports code uniform. There is no cost.

Students are welcome to arrive at school from 8.30am (at the earliest). You may see a few students here before 8:30am - these are staff members' children. Before and After School Care is available for those families who have commitments that require children to be at school outside of these hours.

The only exceptions are for guide dogs, dogs being used during education programmes run by the school or when the Principal has given permission.

We are asking for details of any child who wishes to enrol at our school in the next two years.
