A HUGE congratulations to our Year 6 students who presented their speeches in front of their peers and teachers in the hall. Two of our students went on to compete in the Hibiscus Coast Speech competition finals and both did a superb job. Well done Callum and Charlise! We are very proud of you both! A special mention to Charlise who came second with her speech about the evolution of Space Travel.

The Hall Committee would like to say a huge 'THANK YOU' to the local Businesses and School Suppliers who have already donated to our Hall Refurbishment Appeal!

Waiata (singing), whanaungatanga (getting to know each other) and hono (connection) were the standouts from a trip to Whangaparāoa College last Thursday for our group of whānau Māori seniors.

This year’s book week is all about Heroes - superheroes, comic book heroes and everyday heroes, so join in the fun and practice your reading superpowers!

On WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 25, we will have our 2021 community meeting.

This is a real highlight for the children and they have a parade where all the children walk around and we all try to guess their characters.

As Term 4 rolls out and 2021 comes closer, we want to be able to celebrate as many things as we can with our parent community. Please note the following dates and events:

Each year when we do our stock-take in the library and resource room we unfortunately have thousands of dollars of readers and library books that are not returned. PLEASE start looking around your house, under beds, in book cases in the bottom of your bags..... see how many books you can find and return.

Issue 2 is out now and is closing 21 March. Forms have been sent home, so please drop these into the office or you can order online. The orders will be sent to the class, unless you request for these to be sent to the office.

We are now recruiting Gala Committee members to help shape Gala 2021.
