I started at Whangarei Intermediate in 2019 as a classroom kaiako then to a Whānau leader. In 2022 I was fortunate to be appointed as Deputy Principal.

I am passionate about education and in particular the success of Māori. I come from a Māori up bringing where Te Reo Māori me ona tikanga have been taught to me from a very young age. I have attended Kohanga reo, Kura Kaupapa and Wharekura. I understand the importance of engaging whanau in school and the impact this has on a child's learning, I am always looking at ways I can continue to engage whanau in the school.

I have a young whānau myself with four tamariki who keep me very busy. Outside of Kura I enjoy spending quality time with my wider whānau.
