The Epro8 Competition

Well done to Broskis, Brown Kiwis, Hammerhead Sharks, and Team X. These teams of four were entered into the first round of heats for the Science, Engineering, and Electronics competition known as Epro8. Every year thousands of students from around New Zealand take part in this competition, vying for the top place for their respective region. Of particular note were the Brown Kiwis (Finlay White, Tawhai Hadfield, Elijah Fricker, Gordon He) who made it to the grand finale. They worked intensely and tirelessly last Wednesday night for two and a half hours straight, against very strong competition, to gain a very respectable second place. In fact, this team led on the scoreboard for the majority of the night. An awesome result Brown Kiwis!

All teams put in maximum effort in weeks of preparation and practice. It was amazing to see so much dedication and enthusiasm and we all look forward to the challenge next year; this involves building teams, construction, engineering, electronics, and lots of fun.
