Room 19 students have been writing from the perspective of a Matariki star (there are 9).

Room 19 —

The students then created amazing foam screenprints representing their stars.

My name is Matariki I am the main star out of the 9. I signal the start of the Māori New Year. I like being the eldest, I can boss my other siblings around. I am responsible for the well-being of the whanau. I love being Matariki.

My name is Tupuārangi and I am the star that connects the cluster to the harvesting of birds and fruit and berries from the trees. I love watching Kiwi walk around.
