Hammerhead Sharks, Brown Kiwis, Team X's, Broski's. What's this? It's WIS teams for... The EPro8 Challenge!

Tom King —

This is an inter-school Science and Engineering competition. Every year over 10,000 students from 800 schools, throughout New Zealand, take part.

Events are run for years 5-6, years 7-8, and years 9-10  groups. Teams of four students will compete for the title of their regions EPro8 Challenge Champion.

From the beginning of the school year, Epro8 team members have been building up their teams, practicing on electronic online simulators, building structures like bridges, towers, cubes, pyramids, lifts, and vehicles. This practice will prepare teams for the competitions, so good luck to the WIS teams who have worked extremely hard over the last 3 weeks!

UPDATE

Congratulations to the Brown Kiwis team for winning the first round of heats last night (Wednesday) at the Epro8 competition. Team Hammerhead Sharks also did very well with a high final score. You all worked very hard and it showed in how you worked together during the evening. Kapai!

Tonight (Thursday) is the next round of heats and we have two more teams entered (Team X and Broski's). Good luck for tonight!
