Creative Excellence Shines in Short Story Competition
Inaugural Short Story Competition
Short Story Stars Shine Bright!
Wow! Our school's first-ever Short Story Competition was a HUGE hit! Mrs. Novaire, our amazing Literacy Leader, started this cool contest so students could show off their writing skills without having to speak in front of everyone.
Guess what? A whopping 85 stories were sent in! That's way more than anyone expected!
"I was blown away by how creative our students are," says Mrs. Novaire. "And I want to thank all the teachers who helped them work so hard on their stories."
Mrs. Novaire read every single story and picked winners for each year level. The big announcement will happen soon at hui-ā-kura (but not this week). Until then, you can check out everyone's stories in the online collection!
This is your chance to see all the awesome writing your classmates did. The top 10 stories from each year group have a special golden badge on them. Also, Mr. Heke gave some special awards for the best illustrations!
Mrs. Novaire will share her personal feedback for each story after the winners are announced.
A big THANK YOU to Mrs. Novaire for creating this amazing opportunity for everyone to share their writing talents!
Here are all the stories bound in an online book. Tau ke.
