Phone messages for students

Lisa Barber —

We are receiving large volumes of phone calls asking that messages be delivered to students about their after school activities or transport arrangements. With over 740 students enrolled at our school, Sue and Geneva in the front office are already extremely busy. While they do their best to get an urgent message to a student, it is not always possible, particularly if it is received later than 2.30pm....

We ask that you encourage your child to take responsibility for knowing what their after school activities and transport arrangements are when they leave for school each morning.

If you need to get a message to a student about a changed plan, please let staff have the student's room number and/or teacher's name when you call.    Students are permitted to use the office phone for emergencies but not to organise their after school social activities.
