Boys Rugby Sevens
Due to AIMS GAMES being canceled the boys' Rugby Sevens team have been training with their eye on a Northern Tournament in term 3, and a trip down to Manurewa Intermediate.
As a warm-up and to get the boys playing Sevens games, our boys team played Kamo Intermediate on the last day of term at Rugby Park. As this was the boys' first game of 2020 we chose to do 3 x 7 minutes, very much treating it like a training game.
KIS had two very talented players who were able to run through our defences with ease at times which allowed them to take an early lead. WIS bounced back and some amazing skill was shown by Dailyn Dickeson to run and offload to a teammate for a try in the corner. Overall, KIS came away as winners but the WIS players identified areas for improvement before the return fixture at KIS on Friday 7th August (2pm kick off).
