Marae Noho ki Whakapara Marae

This term all our classes are are going on a marae noho to Whakapara Marae. This is a one night stay at the marae which is located north of Hikurangi. Students will be split into 2 groups across their whānau that will stay on separate nights. This haerenga is for students to experience a night on a marae, build whanaungatanga, mihimihi, learn about the process of powhiri and the roles and responsibilities on the marae. Your child will come home with an information pack, we will need parents to come along to help and stay overnight.

Week 4 - 21st/22nd Feb - Te Whānau o Parihaka (Rm 19,20,21,22)

Week 4- 23rd/24th Feb- Te Whānau o Tawatawhiti (Rm 10,16,17,18)

Week 5- 28th Feb/1st March- Te Whānau o Waiarohia (Rm 1,2,3,4,)

Week 6- 7th March/8th March- Te Whānau o Waimirirangi Te Roi (Rm11), Waimirirangi (Rm12), Te Kōpū (Rm13), Te Ana (Rm 14), Kairewa (Rm 15), Te Whau(Rm25)

Week 7- 14th March/15th March- Te Whānau o Kauika (Rm 5,6,7,8,9)
