Matua Tai organized a trip for his Te Hononga Group, to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds and the 28th Maori Battalion Museum.

The group went to learn about leadership and teamwork. Karen Hinge, a teacher that worked at WIS and now works at the treaty Grounds, taught the group about the history of NZ.
