New Pump Track by Velosolutions

Paul Botica —

The pump track is nearly finished.

The new pump track is nearly completed we are just waiting on the lines to be painted, grass to be seeded and some safety signage.  Students will be able to bike or scooter around it during break times in the near future.

The basic rules are as follows

Pump Track

A pump track is a continuous circuit you can go around with no pedalling. Speed is created by ‘pumping’. Lift up on your arms and legs to make yourself light as you rise up a bump then push down and forward as you continue down the other side.

To enjoy the track safely please follow these rules and guidelines.

  • Always ride in the direction of the arrows (anticlockwise)
  • Always wear a helmet and covered shoes
  • Check your equipment is safe.
  • Respect other users
  • Always ride within your abilities
  • Stay aware and alert. Be mindful of points where different track sections join.
  • If you come off move to the platform area as quickly as possible.
  • People using this facility do so at their own risk and are responsible for their injuries and damaged equipment.
  • Users must be supervised outside of school hours using this track.

Whangarei Intermediate will not be responsible for injuries and accidents outside of school hours
