​Our expectation is that everyone in our school - students, staff and whānau are committed to learning all the time and from each other.

At Whangārei Intermediate School we want to break through any limitations that may hinder our students from achieving in their learning and developing as people.

​We promote a problem-solving culture in our school that works and promotes a ‘can-do’ attitude. We tell our students that having high expectations means being certain that all of us can learn and improve - no exceptions!

​Of course, this website can only give a taste of our school, so I invite you to come and visit us. We would be happy to show you around our kura so that you can see it in action and feel the pulse of a school with a strong sense of its purpose, and to see our students in action!
