Freight trains are returning to the railway line between Whangārei and Auckland, following KiwiRail’s upgrade of the Northland line....

With the tracks back in regular use, KiwiRail has asked us to share a reminder that it’s important to take special care around the railway line and level crossings in our region. Whether you’re driving or on foot, please remember to look both ways for trains. Trains can come at any time, from either direction. Always cross with care at an official crossing.
