A Message from Tracey - Week 4

Tracey Young —

Kia ora, Hello, Talofa, Mālō e lelei, Bula, Hola, Fakaalofa atu, As Salam Alaykom, こんにちは, Hallo, Hoy, હ લ ો, Hē leu, Mauri, न म त, Ola , Chum reap suor, Kumusta, Nihao, Xin chào.

Kia ora e te whānau,

It was fantastic to see the school full of many different shades of pink on Friday to show our support for Pink Shirt Day.  Pink Shirt Day works to reduce bullying by celebrating diversity in all its forms and supporting schools, workplaces and communities to be safe, supportive, welcoming and inclusive for everyone. We had to postpone our outdoor lunch pink activities on Friday due to weather but will reschedule these to be held through this week.

Congratulations to all those that have been selected to represent Wharenui at the Zone Cross Country races this week. Remember to demonstrate and show our Wharenui values as you compete in your races.

You may be aware that our 2023 school roll has been growing and it is important that we are prepared for this growth with the correct number of classroom spaces available.

Ways you can help:

  • If you have a preschooler that is turning five later this year or anytime in 2024 phone Helen or Kirstin for an enrolment pack
  • Notify the school office if your son or daughter will not be returning to Wharenui in Term 3 or 4 this year.

Noho ora mai nā (Stay well / take care of yourself),

Tracey
