Kia ora e te whānau,
We had some great examples of student learning partnerships that took place last week. The Year 5/6 students from Kowhai and Kowhai Iti presented their playground initiatives inspired by their camp at Living Springs to our BOT. They all did a fantastic job communicating their ideas and we look forward to connecting the team with Playco as we plan our stage 2 playground design.
4 students came with me to KPMG to support a “Lunch n Learn” session with some of the workers. We introduced the team to some basic sign language and shared our school karakia. This was also an opportunity to reconnect with some of the KPMG helpers that came along to the Year 7/8 camp a few weeks ago.

Parents are welcome to stay on for lunch afterwards.

Enrolments 2023
You may be aware that our 2022 school roll has been growing and it is important that we are prepared for this growth with the correct number of classroom spaces available.
Ways you can help:
- If you have a preschooler that is turning five later this year or anytime in 2023 phone Helen or Kirstin for an enrolment pack
- Notify the school office if your son or daughter will not be returning to Wharenui in 2023 (current Year 8’s excluded)
Noho ora mai nā (Stay well / take care of yourself),
