Cycle Safety and Digital Learning

Year 6 students have loved completing their cycle safety programme this week. It has been great to see everyone learn new skills and show progress with learning to a bike. Some of the best activities and games were sneak up granny, shrinking square, slow race and riding the bike like a scooter!

Arpo, Jahliyah and Axel from Kowhai Nui and Manuka completed a brainstorm of the most important lessons they learnt.

"I liked cycle safety because it taught me to be safe on the road and how to use the cycle lane" - Ibrahim

"I enjoyed having fun and riding on the road" - Sayful

"I now know how to do left and right hand turns properly" - Brooklyn

Year 5 Digi Learning

The Year 5s have enjoyed experiment and getting creative with bee bots and spheros this week. I really enjoyed seeing their collaboration and critical thinking in action as they had to create code and debug to allow their devices to complete tracks, race and some clever students even got their bee bots dancing!
