Kia ora e te whānau,

It was an absolute pleasure last week to spend time with our Year 7/8 students on their camp at Omaka Scout Camp.  The students had a fantastic time trying new things such as surfing, body boarding, river crossing, raft building and Adrenalin Forest.  A huge thank you to all the staff that contributed to the the success of this camp, a lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes to make sure things run smoothly and effectively.

We have been very fortunate to win a finalist prize of $10,000 in the Mitre 10 playground competition which we recently entered.  A few of us found out late last week but had to keep it confidential until now, hence the delay in publishing this newsletter. A huge thank you to our playground subcommittee of Janet, Kerri N and Sam along with some students who worked hard on our application.  We are really looking forward to sharing the plan for the new playground with you soon.

Our teachers have been working hard this term to compile our students Learning Reports.  These will be coming home at the end of Week 8 with class placement details for 2022.  We look forward to sharing these with you then.

Noho ora mai nā (Stay well / take care of yourself),

Tracey
