Sporting Events

Congratulations to all our tamariki who have recently taken part in sporting events.  Sport at Hagley Park concluded on Friday and it was fantastic to see the positivity and encouragement happening around the sporting grounds.  Some of our Year 5-8 students attended the Riccarton Cluster competition at Ilam Fields last week.  This was a great opportunity for the students to get involved in some different types of sport.  Our Senior Girls basketball team played their final game and came away with a win, congratulations to all involved!

A huge thank you to all those that have helped with coaching and managing teams over the season, your support is very much appreciated!

In Week 8, selected teams will travel to Te Kapehu Riccarton to take part in the annual Staunton Cup.  We look forward to sharing the results with you soon!

Ko Taku Reo Provision

Last week, we were lucky to host the Hillmorton Provision here at Wharenui.  It was great to see some of our ex-pupils back onsite and connecting with their friends in the playground again.  The students have been gifted a new puzzle from Rā from Mokopuna Arts and they absolutely love it!

Absences

There are a few winter bugs still doing the rounds so it is important that students stay home if they are unwell. Please make sure you notify the school of your child/ren's absence either via phone message, email the office or through the Hero app.

Noho ora mai nā (Stay well / take care of yourself),
