Kia ora e te whānau,

I hope everyone has had a restful and relaxing holiday break. Welcome back to Term 4 and a special welcome to our new families that are joining our kura this term. Nau mai haere mai!

Roll Growth

As you will be aware we are currently having a new learning block constructed due to the rapid roll growth we are experiencing.  With this in mind, we are also preparing for 2024 so need to know if you have any younger children that will be starting with us in 2024 or if your child/ren aren't returning next year (excluding our current Year 8 students). Please send an email or leave a message at the office if you have or are shifting into another school zone. This helps us prepare for the growth and ensure that we have enough teachers and teaching spaces available. Thank you in advance!

Kowhai Rauraha

We are starting a new class in Kowhai team this term due to the influx of students at the Year 5/6 level and to reduce the current numbers in our Kowhai and Manuka classes. The class will be based in the library and called Kowhai Rauraha which means the kowhai tree is bursting into bloom. The teachers in this space will be Jason Hodzelmans and Sue Vaughan, both whom are known to the students.

Curriculum over Coffee and Cake

We will be holding some regular curriculum overview sessions each Thursday from 2.15 pm in the staffroom.  This is an opportunity for you to come along and meet with other parents/caregivers and find our more about our learning programmes.  Our first session is on Thursday 12 October and we look forward to seeing you then!

Noho ora mai nā (Stay well / take care of yourself),
