Pink Shirt Day - Friday 19 May 2023

Sam Turner —

This Friday we will celebrate Pink Shirt Day to promote showing kindness and speaking up against bullying.

Each year at Whītau School we celebrate Pink Shirt Day to stand up to stop bullying in our school and community. On Friday 19 May we are asking our students to wear their pink shirts so that we can make a stand. There are official Pink Shirt Day shirts that can be purchased from Cotton-on but we are not expecting families to do this. If your child has a pink T-shirt of any description they can wear that along with the rest of their school uniform. This is NOT a mufti day, we are just expecting to see our students in their uniform with a pink shirt on the top half. There is no cost to support this day.

Throughout the week we will be sharing messages of kindness with the students and on Friday will come together as a school at the end of the day to take a photo of the school in their pink!
