Miniball - Whītau Force

The boys took on Mt Pleasant on Tuesday evening and came away with a hard but well-deserved win, 12 - 6.

The game started off with the ball being passed up and down the court with no score until about the 5th minute. 

There were so many great things about each player.

Thomas Kumar & Tyson Carmichael - Fantastic support play and determination on the court!

Monti Masiu & Moahengi Lavaka - Great effort to get the turnover ball and sticking onto their opponent, fantastic defence!

Thomas Chestnut-Wilson & Felix Anderson - Determination to make the most of turnover balls and head down the court quickly to support!

Mathias Scanlan & Ryder Manawatu - Quick on their feet and great support to get the ball moving fast down the court!

Player of the Day - Moahengi Lavaka for his grit and determination and Tyson Carmichael for his hustle and effort on the court. Mālo lava boys!

Miniball - Whītau Flames

The girls had a great game against Pareawa Banks Ave, with many great moments.

It was a strong start from the girls with MaryJane sinking 3 in a row to take the lead. The team led in the first half, 8 - 6.

Pareawa came back in the second half to take the lead and win the game, 20 - 14. 

Paegan McMahon & Miah Hira-Johns - Superb determination to follow turn over and loose ball!

Ihipera Falwasser & Scarlett McDonald Fisher - Great support play and effort to follow the team down the court! 

Mia Ifopo-Togia & Losalia Taaso - Getting in between their opponents and forcing the ball back into their hands!

MaryJane Scanlan & Mayla Moka - Fantastic hustle on the court and being exactly where they needed to be - in the way!

Player of the Day - Scarlett McDonald Fisher and Losalia Taaso for their improvement in their skills! 

Great team vibes, fantastic coaches and loved to see all the whānau support on the sidelines!
