News from the Kōrari Hāpori
The past week in Kōrari was filled with excitement, adventure and discovery! The Living Springs Camp was a great success for our Year 5/6 students even though the weather was not what we ordered. All of the activities still went ahead with a wet weather alternative such as the climbing wall, archery, code breaker in the swimming pool, campfires and spotlight. The children and adults were all well-fed and kept warm during the evenings in these world-class facilities.
The most exciting part of camp for us as teachers was to watch the personal growth of our students as they responded to new challenges - we were proud of them all.
We would like to acknowledge all of the parent helpers who gave up their time to make this camp possible.
While the Year 5/6s were away our Year 4 students had some adventures of their own down at The Landing during the Riverwalk. They enjoyed being the ‘big kids’ for 3 days.
