Jedi Dodgeball Tournament

On Friday some of our Year 3/4 ākonga were lucky enough to go and participate in the Jedi Dodgeball Tournament held in an indoor stadium. This was part of our 'Tamai Sport' which is with our cluster of local schools. We had enough ākonga for two teams with some enthusiastic students filling in and playing up to ten games!

So it was Dodgeball with a twist! We enjoyed having a 'Jedi' who could touch anyone who was out with their lightsaber to bring them back to life. The Jedi had to be careful though, because if they were touched with the ball then the other team would get a point. The Whītau School ākonga quickly caught on to the rules and showed determination, dedication, commitment and great dodging skills. It was great seeing other schools that we had versed at 'Tamai Sports' events and saying 'Hi' to some students that we knew.

Everyone was able to enjoy something different and we look forward to playing it back at school!

Free MoE School Lunches from Compass

Next Week’s Standard Menu at Whītau School is the WEEK 4 MENU.

Great news!  Our free School Lunches are back in Term 4 with a new menu!  Compass have made some exciting changes introduced in this menu update which they are also confident the students will enjoy, as they have trialled and adapted the dishes based on feedback collected during the past term.

At an average cost of $3.00 to provide a lunch for your child from home, this is a huge saving for families of at least $15.00 per week, per child!
