Capture the Flag

The Year 3/4 'Capture the Flag' Tournament, held last Friday was a thrilling display of sportsmanship and teamwork from young athletes across four schools. Eight teams, representing Linwood Avenue, Te Waka Unua, Ngutuawa, and Whītau, competed fiercely in the tournament.

The tournament provided an excellent opportunity for the young athletes to showcase their skills and abilities, while also fostering a sense of healthy competition and teamwork.

Throughout the tournament, the players demonstrated remarkable agility, speed, and coordination, as they chased and captured flags, evaded defenders, and maneuvered through obstacles.

The games were intense, with each team pushing themselves to their limits and displaying impressive levels of perseverance and determination. We can be proud of both our Tamariki and our school! It was a pleasure to be there.

Free MoE School Lunches from Compass

Next week's standard menu at Whītau School is the WEEK 4 MENU.

Great news!  Our free School Lunches are back in Term 2 with a new menu!  Compass have made some exciting changes introduced in this menu update which they are also confident the students will enjoy, as they have trialled and adapted the dishes based on feedback collected during the past term.

At an average cost of $3.00 to provide a lunch for your child from home so this is a huge saving for families of at least $15.00 per week, per child! Please encourage your child to eat their school lunch and do not provide a school lunch from home.
