PINK SHIRT DAY! - A word from our students

Lucy Ferguson —

Below is a short video with all of the photo's from the Pink Shirt Day photo booth.

Pink Shirt Day

What is Pink Shirt Day? Pink Shirt Day is a day when you can wear a pink shirt to support non-bullying. Actually, it all started when a kid was bullied for wearing a pink shirt so, from that day Pink Shirt Day has been made to promote anti bullying. It’s great that they did make a day to raise awareness because bullying isn’t cool. Pink Shirt Day is a good way of showing that we care for those being bullied. Remember to always be kind to others and treat them how you would like to be treated.

For Pink Shirt Day the Student Council set up a photo booth in the school library so friends and families could go to the photo booth and take lovely, memorable photos in their pink shirts. The teachers also took photos together and had a fun time showing off their very lovely, extravagant pink outfits. Some learning spaces went over to the photo booth and took photos with their class. Thank you to everyone who came to school, (adults and children) that wore a pink shirt to school last Friday.

It's cool to be an up stander!
