Celebrating @ Wigram

WPS —

It is great to acknowledge some activities happening around the school and, at times, the children who make them happen.

This term there are a few groups we would like to acknowledge and thank for their reliability and support - Ka pai.

House Leaders

Since retuning to school after Covid Lockdown, our House Leaders have been supporting the entry to school and start of day activities each day.  This has involved each morning sanitising students as they come in, supporting play in the younger student rooms before school starts and assisting some anxious students to their classroom and unpacking their bag out with them.  Such a great help for everyone - Thankyou.

Huritini Student Council

Karaitiana and Vadim have been active with the Huritini Student Council (a Community Board initiative that has been taken up by 5 primary schools in our wider area).  They have worked collaboratively with the other students to design information plaques for the Westlake Reserve.  They have designed the plaques and these will be manufactured and put in place around the lake.  Congratulations to you both for the hard work and initiative that goes into such projects.

Pukeko Graduation

As our school grows it becomes necessary to move some students from Pukeko to Toroa.  Today we celebrated 12 students from Pukeko who will be starting in the Toroa space after the holidays.  This will make room for our Term 4 New Entrants to be welcomed into Pukeko.
