Wigram Primary School is a PB4L school. It is a journey that we have been on since 2019 and have seen the impact of that on the culture and climate that we have established. We are aiming to provide a positive school climate to grow a supportive environment for social, emotional and academic growth for students and staff. Our purpose statement indicates 

To develop a caring community with HEART, where everyone embraces our values so that we learn together and soar to new heights.

As adults, we all have the responsibility to nurture the behaviours we want to see. We intentionally teach the behaviours that are socially acceptable. Appropriate behaviours are acknowledged (often by Kāhu cards) and supported. PB4L is all about identifying and highlighting the positive behaviours students demonstrate already. By teaching students what behaviours are socially appropriate and by reinforcing these through praise, we are encouraging our children to show these behaviours more often.
