Pink shirt day 2023

On Friday 19th May, Aotearoa will become a sea of pink as schools, workplaces and communities join the Pink Shirt Day movement.

By taking part you will be helping stamp out bullying through raising awareness. We want to promote kindness, celebrate diversity and inclusion within our school.

The Student Council have recognised that this is an important day and would like to celebrate this through:

  1. Encouraging as many students to wear a pink shirt on Friday 19th May. (You can purchase a pink shirt day t-shirt from Cotton On OR you may wish to wear a pink top from your own wardrobe.

  2. There will be a colouring competition which will be handed out on Friday 12th of May.

They will need to be returned to your classroom teacher by Thursday 18th of May for the student council to judge. There will be a 1st place prize for the best colouring competition, per learning space.

  1. On Friday 19th of May there will be a photo booth set up in the library with pink props etc These photos will be displayed in the following newsletter. We would love to encourage you and your family to participate in this, to spread awareness and have some fun.
