Welcome to Term 3

As our patchy winter weather continues we are experiencing very soggy grounds.  While they dry out we are keeping the children off them, as well as out of the sandpit.  The sandpit looks like a swimming pool!!!!!  We are using flags and cones to identify that these areas are out of bounds.

Arriving at school on time is essential for children to settle to class and not miss learning at the start of the day.  Please manage and organise your early morning routine to get your child into school so they have time to unpack their bag and be ready for learning at 8:55am.

Learning Conferences

It has been great to see so many parents attending these learning  conferences.  It is just such a great way to share in your child's learning and to be able to ask the teacher lots of questions too.

If you missed a time to meet up with the teacher please email them and make another time to do so.

After School Pick Ups - reminder school finishes at 3pm

Key Safety Points

Staff Carpark - not a drop off point for children - it is for staff only

Getting out of the car - Support your child to exit the car on the footpath side of the road - not onto the road.

Parking

Park in a designated parking space

     Do not double park

Do not park on the yellow lines - not even to drop a child off

Please use the crossing area (on Curtis St)

Being a positive role model for your children around road safety.

Lunch Time Clubs and Groups

Each day of the week there is an activity being run, or organised by teachers.  Children can choose to do Jump Jam, Arts and Crafts, Ukulele, Choir, Eco Club, Garden Club, Indian Dance, or Kapa Haka.

These activities allow children to learn a new skill or add to the skills they already have.  A child does not need their own ukulele for the club - we provide them.
